AUHSD Volunteer Process

AUHSD Volunteer Process — Step by Step

1. Choose Your Volunteer Tier

Tier 1: Assist school staff, supervised at all times.

Tier 2: Extended student contact or overnight field trips and will be unsupervised at times (additional requirements apply see below).

2. Complete the Online Application (RAPTOR System)

Submit your volunteer application through the RAPTOR system. The system automatically checks Megan's Law clearance and includes the electronic liability waiver. Once your application is reviewed, you'll receive next steps.

3. Tier 2 Requirements Only

Livescan Fingerprinting

Required for Tier 2 volunteers. Schedule an appointment with a district-approved Livescan agency. Bring a valid photo ID and the Livescan request form provided by your school site.

Tuberculosis (TB) Test

Tier 2 volunteers must complete a TB test at a district-approved clinic or agency and submit the clearance to the school site or district contact.

4. Volunteer Orientation

After your application has been approved, you'll be invited to attend a Volunteer Orientation session to review safety procedures, expectations, and district guidelines. Orientation dates are available only after approval.

5. Final Approval and Placement

Once all required steps are verified (RAPTOR, Livescan, TB, and Orientation for Tier 2), you'll receive a final approval email and can begin volunteering at your assigned school site.
